When should the battery in our family vehicle be replaced?

Do easy spray-on waxes work well for your car?
Answer:
While spray on waxes offer immediate results, manufactures of vehicle finishes will recommend either a paste or liquid wax for longevity. We offer every major brand of wash and wax products for your car.

What does it mean if my “check engine” or “service engine soon” light comes on?
Answer: There are many sensors and computerized components that manage your vehicle’s engine performance and emissions. When one of these fails, the “check engine” light is illuminated. Although your car may seem to run fine, it is important to have the issue addressed to prevent long-term problems.

What type of windshield fluid should we use in our car?
Answer:
Windshield washer fluid that has a minimum freezing point of -20 should be used in all vehicles. Late model vehicles may offer less protection for windshield fluid reservoirs against freezing. Remember that washer fluids that offer bug protection are not recommend for colder climate regions.

What is the most overlooked filter replaced on newer vehicles?
Answer: The Cabin Filter, since 2001 new car manufacturers have used cabin air filters that help purify the air entering the vehicles climate control systems. Many times the cabin filter is located in an accessible location for the DIY to change. If not, we recommend the closest NAPA Autocare Center.

Are new car dealerships the only choice for extended warranties?
Answer:
Consumers with extended warranties can be honored at your neighborhood service center, We recommend your local NAPA AutoCare Center for quality repairs which offer a “peace of mind” nationwide warranty.

How often should we replace our windshield wiper blades?
Answer: Vehicle safety experts and vehicle manufacturers recommend replacing the wiper blades on your vehicle every 6 to12 months. Windshield contour of late model vehicles may require replacement earlier.

Is it really necessary to replace my timing belt at the recommended interval?
Answer: YES. The failure of a timing belt in many cars can result in major engine damage. The cost of repairing an engine with a broken timing belt is much greater than the cost of a timing belt replacement.
